Get into the Christmas spirit and make your own Christmas themed Junk Journal to record all of your Christmas memories!
In this 3.5 hour workshop, Lucinda will demonstrate how to put together a basic Little Golden Book Journal from start to finish, show you a range of ways to create pages, as well as her tips and tricks on repurposing paper goods and op shop finds into beautiful journals In her beautiful shared studio space at The Light Box, Torquay.
You will be provided with all materials and tools required to complete the Journal as well as a binding kit and instruction booklet to take home with you to continue to make your journals at home.
There will be a small selection of Little Golden Books from Lucinda's collection on hand to select from but it is recommended if you have a specific title you would really like to work with that you bring it along with you.
Throughout the class, you will have time to explore your inner child with a selection of papers and textures to combine to make a stunning journal for you to take home and start filling.
by the end of the class, you will have created a beautiful Little golden book complete with a tassel and some goodies to take home to get you started journaling.

COVID -19 safe guidelines
Workshops are run as per the government COVID safe guidelines, with social distancing and any other measures observed. - you will receive an email closer to the workshop date with any additional requirements.
Please note that due to current mandates you will be required to present your COVID-19 digital certificate (or equivalent) upon arrival - all participants must be double vaccinated (or have a medical exemption) as a condition of entry to The Light Box.
Lucinda holds a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment and has worked in the TAFE sector for four years facilitating classes within the creative arts space.
About The Light Box
The Light Box Torquay is a shared maker space that houses a collection of personal studio pods and common art-making areas. A workshop classroom is located at the front of the space for hosting mixed arts classes. The dedicated ceramics section at the back has shared work table space, throwing wheels, a slab roller, and more. Make, mingle, and mend at The Light Box.
